Throwing taster lesson (2 hours).
This one-to-one lessons is a basic introduction to throwing on a potters wheel.
These lessons make a great Christmas gift.
Each lesson lasts two hours and includes materials, firing and glazing of your best piece (one per person). Lessons take place in our Manchester Ceramics Collective Studio (Old Trafford -M16 7QB)
During the lesson you will learn techniques including wedging clay to prepare it for throwing, centring your clay on the wheel, and pulling up and shaping the clay into a chosen form. You will be assisted by me at every stage.
At the end of the lesson you will be able to select your best piece which I will fire and glaze in the weeks following your lesson (you will have a selection of glazes to choose from) . Your finished piece can be collected from our studio, or posted to your home at an additional cost.
Weekday and weekend classes are available. Please contact me directly to arrange a date and time.
If you wish to book a lesson with a friend, an additional person can be added to your lesson at a cost of £65. This can be arranged with me directly.
